Their first match in MLS will be played on February 29 against Atlanta United FC at 5 PM PT. Given the proximity between both capitals, the opening match could also spark the start of another interesting MLS South rivalry. Nashville SC has played four matches at the Nissan Stadium while playing in the USL the past two seasons. Its attendance records floated around 18,000.
“We are thrilled to announce that Nashville SC’s inaugural match will be played right here in Nashville in front of our hometown fans,” said Nashville SC CEO Ian Ayre in a team statement. “February 29th will be a historic date for our club and we look forward to showcasing the city and our supporters to the entire league during the opening weekend of Major League Soccer’s 25th season.”
The tickets for this match are available through Nashville SC season ticket memberships. That start at $425 and $25 per game.
