The Salvadorean national team is still in the top 20 in the world in the beach soccer modality. Where the Women also have a place. There was a new update of the world ranking of beach soccer teams, by the BSWW the governing body of this sport worldwide. Where the national team of “El Salvador” rose after last month in the men’s category. They are the number 16th team in the world, surpassing two places comparing to the month of October. At CONCACAF level is still number two, only surpassed by Mexico.
It’s 1020 points place them above the United States, Panama, and the Bahamas. Rubén Batres won the award for best goal of the year from the BSWW, in the Best of the 2019 Awards, held in Dubai. The goal that was chosen was the one where they played against Mexico in the qualifying tournament for the World Beach games in Qatar that were held in October. He was announced the winner at the Soccer Stars Gala that was held in Dubai. “Thank God I could score that goal against Mexico in my country, it was to qualify for the World Beach Games. I’m thankful,” Batres said.

Batres becomes the second player of the CONCACAF f to win the award for the best of the year in 2019. Mexico hasn’t won it yet, and no one else in the rest of the confederation. On the other hand in the women’s discipline, this was the month that it was first held. The women’s team of El Salvador is in the number 13 position. Being the third in the CONCACAF, where it is surpassed by Mexico and the United States.
